Rafael Reis holds a PhD in Education. He works as a teacher in the public Basic Education system and is a member of the Research Group on Inclusive Educational Policies and Practices (UNOESTE). He is an integrated member of the Centre for Global Studies on Youth at Universidade Aberta (CEG-UAb) and a researcher at the Brazilian Association for Trans-Homoculture Studies (ABETH). His research is situated within the field of Education, with a focus on education for diversity, curriculum, educational policies, and teacher education. His research interests concentrate on the intersections of youth, sexuality, and gender in educational contexts, engaging with contemporary debates on diversity, inclusion, and social justice. He participates in national and international academic networks, collaborating on research and initiatives aimed at understanding upper secondary education dynamics and the challenges of educational policies in contexts of inequality, contributing to the advancement of youth studies from a global perspective.
