Sónia Valente

Ph.D. student in Global Studies at the Universidade Aberta (UAb), Master in e-learning Pedagogy from the same institution, and Degree in Education from the University of Minho. She completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Diversity Management and Communities of Practice at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, a Postgraduate Diploma in Gender Policy: Equality and Non-Discrimination at the EDUWELL-UNESCO Chair at the Lisbon Academy of Sciences and the University of Évora and is currently attending a Postgraduate Diploma in Science for humanity’s coexistence with our blue-green planet, which is under great threat from the same organization. 

She has coordinated several social intervention projects with children, young people, and families. She was a tutor for the Digital Technologies in Education in the UAb Professionalisation in Service Course. She currently coordinates the UAb Local Centre in Cantanhede and is part of the EducOnline@Pris Digital Campus Project and the Educ@rteNatureza project. She coordinates the UAb EUSOUDIGITAL Centre in Cantanhede and is involved in organizing various local and digital initiatives.
