Milene Alves holds a degree in History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon, and a Master’s degree in History with a specialization in Modern and Contemporary History from the same institution, with a dissertation titled “The Royal Foundling House of Lisbon and the Apprenticeship of Trades (1777-1812).” She is currently a PhD student in Global Studies at the Universidade Aberta. She has been a research fellow at the Center for Lusophone and European Literatures and Cultures at the University of Lisbon. Milene has been active in the editorial field, contributing to the preparation of works for Theya Editores and the Global Studies Collection of the Coimbra University Press.
