Effective Associate Professor at UFRN, based in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UFRN. Permanent Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Health Management and Innovation at UFRN. In the field of Management, I was Coordinator of the Biomedical Engineering Course at UFRN, for 4 years, and deputy Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at UFRN, for 4 years. Currently, I am Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UFRN. In the field of Engineering, between 2007 and 2010, I worked as a Product Development Engineer at the Brazilian Aeronautics Company (Embraer/SA). In the scope of Research, I am a researcher at the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health at HUOL at UFRN. I have experience in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, working mainly on the following topics: Structural Analysis of Mechanical and Biomechanical components, Finite Element Models, Prototyping and 3D technology and Structural Topological Optimization. In the area of Health Innovation, I work on the following topics: International Cooperation in Health; Health IT; Assistive Technologies, Educational Technologies in Health, Education Mediated by Technology, Management and Innovation in Health.
