Ana Cláudia Henriques holds a degree in Portuguese-French (teaching track) from the University of Aveiro (2005). She began her professional career in Portugal, working as a Portuguese teacher at the secondary education level. She completed postgraduate studies in Information and Communication Technologies at the Piaget Institute in Porto and in Curriculum Management at the University of Aveiro. Simultaneously, she studied Spanish Literature and Culture, also at the University of Aveiro. Between 2012 and 2016, she moved to the United States, where she was responsible for curriculum management in Spanish and Portuguese courses. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a Spanish teacher in London. She is currently teaching Portuguese at the Instituto Duarte de Lemos and is also a PhD candidate in Contemporary History at FSCH. She has published one article in a specialized journal and contributed three chapters to books. She regularly participates in conferences on the work of José Saramago.
