Teresa A. Oliveira is Associate Professor with Habilitation in Mathematics Statistics at the Open University (UAb) in Lisbon since December 2019, belonging to the Department of Science and Technology (DCET). She joined UAb in November 1999 becoming an Assistant Professor in June 2000. Currently, she is a collaborating member of CEG, LEAD, and CIAC of UAb, and an integrated member of CEAUL – Center for Statistics and Applications of the University of Lisbon (2000-). She obtained her Master’s (1994) and Doctorate (2000) degrees in Statistics and Operations Research at the Faculty of Sciences of this University, and graduated in Applied Mathematics (1987). At UAb, she is currently a member of the General Council, having been the Coordinator of the Mathematics Section for three years and the Director of DCET for a two-year term. She participated in the creation of all courses in the Mathematics area of DCET, being the proponent and Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Biostatistics and Biometry and Co-Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Forestry Sciences.
