After a five-year mission in the Central African Republic, she earned a Ph.D. in Theology from the Catholic University of Portugal – Faculty of Theology (including a semester at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). She has several scientific publications in the field, particularly in biblical theology (“The Love that Saves: A Reading of Luke 7:32-50”), systematic theology (“Forgiving [Un]conditionally: A Biblical-Philosophical Reading on Forgiveness”), the history of pastoral theology (“Justice and Discipline in D. Rodrigo de Moura Teles: The Timelessness of Pastoral Care in 1706 and 1715”), cine-theology (“The Resurrected in Contemporary Pathways”), and missiology (“From the Pedagogy and Mission of Saint Ignatius to the Methodology and Combonian Mission”), among others.
