Rosa Maria Sequeira has a PhD in Literature Theory from Universidade Aberta (2000), a Master’s in Comparative Studies from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1987) and a Degree in Modern Languages ​​and Literatures – Portuguese and German Studies Variant from the University of Lisbon (1983). She is an Associate Professor at Universidade Aberta and a Researcher at the Center for Global Studies (CEG) and the Center for Migrations and Intercultural Relations (CEMRI) at UAB. She was scientific coordinator of CEMRI between 2013 and 2016, having been Deputy Coordinator for Postgraduate Training between 2011 and 2013. She was Visiting Professor at the University of Vienna in Austria in 2003 and at the University of the Republic in Uruguay in 2011. She is a certified trainer by the Pedagogical Scientific Council for Continuing Training with registration number CCPFC/ACC-69239/12. Her research interests are Intercultural Communication, Comparative Studies and Global Studies.
