Ricardo São João has a degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research (CEUL, 2000) and a Master in Applied Mathematics to Biological Sciences (ISA-UTL, 2007). The interest by the health area led him to take a specialization course in Epidemiology (FM-UL, 2011) and his PhD in Life Sciences-Health of Populations/Biostatistics branch (FCM-UNL, 2015), which was subordinated to the theme “Statistical methods applied to Oncological Data Modeling”. Ricardo São João has dedicated to statistical modeling with a high computational background. Professor at the School of Management and Technology (IPSantarém), teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. He is a member of CEAUL-Centro de Estatística e Aplicações Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. The enthusiasm and passion for teaching and the challenge of modeling complex phenomena with a major impact on health and well-being of the population makes him feel doubly motivated. His research interests are: Multivariate Statistics, Spatial Statistics, Biostatistics, Validation and Creation of Scales, Epidemiology, Big Data. In the personal field he priorizes Family and Faith. He is a great lover of nature, life, sports and gastronomy
