Pedro d’Alte (b. 1985, Porto) is a postdoctoral researcher in Portuguese Studies at Universidade Aberta, where he explores the theme of female representation in Portuguese literatures, particularly in Eastern contexts. Within this field, he pays special attention to the cultures of Macau, Timor, and Goa. Holding a Ph.D. in Child Studies from the University of Minho, his research focused on Literary Education in Portugal and its challenges and possibilities. He earned a Master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Portuguese Studies from Universidade Aberta, and his dissertation, supported by the National Institute of Culture in Portugal, investigated the novelistic production of East Timorese writer Luís Cardoso, receiving an honorable mention from Universidade Aberta.
