Pedro Albuquerque (Lisbon, 1978), started his research career with the examination of Tartessos from an archaeological and literary perspective. He holds a degree in Archaeology and History (University of Lisbon, 2004), a master’s degree in Prehistory and Archaeology (University of Lisbon, 2008), and presented his PhD Thesis in 2014. During his trajectory, he was beneficiary of a PhD grant that was conducted in the Complutense University of Madrid (FCT, 2010-2014). He had also a postodoctal grant in the University of Seville and the University of Lisbon (FCT, 2015-2022). He is currently a Distinguished Researcher in the University of Seville (2022-2024). His works were focused on Tartessos (from a literary and archaeological perspective), Protohistoric Archaeology of Southwestern Iberia, Comparative History, Global History, Modern Historiography and Border Studies. He was director of several academic works and collaborate as a teacher in the University of Seville and the Aberta University.
