PhD student in Intercultural Relations and a collaborative researcher at the Center for Global Studies at Universidade Aberta. She currently serves as a senior rehabilitation technician at a men’s prison and is part of the training staff at the Directorate-General for Reintegration and Prison Services (DGRSP), delivering various initial and continuous training courses for the Prison Guard Corps. s a senior technician, she spent 17 years working as a kindergarten teacher at a women’s prison. Additionally, she served as a Prison Guard, where for 7 years, she assisted in various courses taught at the Penitentiary Training Center. During these periods, she completed a Master’s degree in Anthropology at ISCSP in 2018, with a dissertation titled “Female Empowerment in Prison – The Case of the Tires Prison,” and earned a bachelor’s degree in Educational Research from ESE Maria Ulrich in 2000, with a monograph titled “The Multicultural Nursery – A Case Study in the Municipality of Amadora.”
