Natalia Casagrande Salvador completed her Master’s degree in History on March 2, 2015, at the State University of Campinas – Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in History on May 2, 2011, and her Teaching Degree in History on June 30, 2010, both from the Federal University of Ouro Preto – Institute of Human and Social Sciences. Since 2018, she has been pursuing a PhD in History at the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences. She specializes in the Humanities with an emphasis on History and the use of manuscript sources. Natalia has taught courses on reading and transcribing paleographic documents through the Paleography Workshop at UFMG and beyond. Her main research focus is on sources from the 18th and 19th centuries, the history of lay associations in Minas Gerais, and the history of Colonial Brazil from the 16th to the 19th century.
