Micaela Faria is graduated in Elementary Education from the University of Madeira in 2002. She completed a postgraduate degree in Communication and Image at the Faculty of Technology in Lisbon. In 2009, she began a master’s program in Educational Sciences with a specialization in Educational Technology at the Catholic University. She started volunteering at the Red Cross – Madeira Delegation in 1998, initially in emergency pre-hospital care, and in 2004, she took on roles coordinating projects and activities for the Red Cross Youth Corps. In 2020, she completed a Post-Master’s program in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Crises. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in Global Studies at Universidade Aberta, focusing her research on themes related to Entrepreneurship Education and Global Citizenship.
