Mário Jorge Faria Carneiro

Mário Carneiro focuses on philosophy in his teaching and research. In his research, he works on the philosophical thinking of 20th Century lusophone authors, with a particular emphasis on the thinking of Fidelino de Figueiredo. His work draws from the wide production of analysis and interpretation developed by several researchers on the thinking produced by Portuguese culture and, in general, by lusophone culture.  

Mário Carneiro is the author and co-author of several works published in books and philosophy journals. For around two decades, he was a collaborator of the Centre of Philosophy University of Lisbon. Currently, he collaborates with the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto, he is a scientific consultant of the Fidelino de Figueredo Chair of the State University of Bahia and he is a member of the Centre for Global Studies of the Universidade Aberta.
