Mariana Soveral Gomes da Costa

PhD fellow of the FCT, working on a project about the uses and applications of photography in the Portuguese psychiatry and anthropology. Has a degree in Social Communication (Catholic University of Portugal, 2005) and in Philosophy (College of Letters, University of Lisbon, 2010). Concluded a Master on the work of Michel Foucault, with special focus on the book Naissance de la Clinique: Une archéologie du regard médical (College of Letters, University of Lisbon, 2018). In recent years, has reconciled freelance work in the press, proofreading, translation and collaborations with the research centers CEFi-UCP, CLEPUL-FLUL and CEG-UAb, for which she has undertaken tasks of the fixing of old texts and institutional communication.
