Maria Valéria Alves holds a Ph.D. in Social Sustainability and Development, with her research focused on comprehensive sexuality education. She graduated in Social Communication from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1992) and in Pedagogy from Universidade Potiguar (2016). She is a specialist in Higher Education Teaching from Universidade Potiguar and holds a Master’s degree in Administration, specializing in Strategy, where her research focused on Green Market Orientation. She has been working in Basic Education since 1993. Currently, she serves as Planning and Evaluation Advisor in the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Municipal Department of Education. Additionally, she is a researcher at LAIS – the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health at UFRN, where she develops activities in the fields of communication and educational communication (educommunication).
