Margarida Espiguinha is a doctoral student in Global Studies, a researcher at the Center for Global Studies at UAB and completed, in 2021, the training and capacity building internship for scientific research, culture and development at IECCPMA. Master in Portuguese Studies, from NOVA FCSH, with the dissertation The traditional Portuguese muse: classically themed novels. Graduated and professionalized in Classical Languages and Literatures by FLUL, she has been teaching Portuguese and Latin since 2009, in Basic, Secondary and Higher Education. She was also co-supervisor (PES) and external examiner (mater’s jury) in the Masters in Latin Teaching (EB/ES). She has participated in organizing events, communications, reviews and editions of works. In addition to having a review published, two articles are in press (“Fabulistic incorporation in Horto do Esposo: semantics and rhetoric”, IX SPAHLM Colloquium, and “New Frontiers at the Dawn of Globalization: The Madeira Launch Ramp of Portuguese Maritime Expansion in the Work of Manuel Constantino”, at the International Congress Globalizations Without Borders) and entries from the Dictionary of Spirituality and Mysticism and the Encyclopedic Dictionary of Madeira.
