Marco Daniel Duarte is the Director of the Museum of the Shrine of Fátima and its Department of Studies, where he also oversees the Archive and Library. He is additionally the Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Diocese of Leiria-Fátima. Holding a Ph.D. in Art History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, he has focused his research on Iconography and Iconology studies, areas deeply connected to both ancient and contemporary sacred art, as well as on various themes related to human thought in the context of the History of Fátima. Beyond these areas, he has also conducted research on Food Culture, particularly through the study of artistic sources.
