Márcia Andreia Lopes Pinto, born on January 24, 1984, in Vila Nova de Gaia. She has been a PhD student since 2022 at the Universidade Aberta, in Intercultural Relations. She has a master’s degree in Portuguese as a Non-Mother Tongue from Universidade Aberta and a degree in Primary School Teachers, Portuguese/French variant. Throughout her professional and academic career, she has focused on studies of the Portuguese language as a non-native language, as well as issues of interculturality, essentially between the CPLP countries of Portugal and East Timor. Since 2009, she has been part of several bilateral cooperation projects, as a teacher at the Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e. Since 2018, she has been a member of the committee for the annual scientific event “Jornadas Pedagógicas” of the Portuguese Language Center and has been superving monographs for students from the Faculty of Education, Arts and Humanities, in the Portuguese Language course.
