Luísa Ávila da Costa

Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto, she has been developing her research work in the fields of Sociology, Anthropology and Philosophy of Sport. She is currently teaching Sociology of Sport and Sport and Religion in Sports Sciences Degree, and also Socio-anthropological Aspects of Sport and Qualitative Research Methodology in the Master Degree. Her research work has touched on subjects such as the aesthetics and ethics of sport, education through sport and physical education, sporting virtues, technology and sport, the body in sport, among others. She is also the coordinator of the Social Responsibility Group and a member of the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto.
