Associate Professor at the Universidade Aberta. Integrated member of IELT (FCSH – Universidade Nova) and collaborator of CEG-G5 (Universidade Aberta). She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris III (2002) with a thesis on the reception of Madame Bovary in Portugal, supervised by Professor Daniel-Henri Pageaux. He has studied adaptations and transpositions of literary texts for opera, films, comics and computer games, publishing studies on these issues and on Eça de Queirós, G. Flaubert, H. de Balzac, J. Giono, L. Colet, M. Kundera, Manuel Teixeira-Gomes, among many other writers.
