Joaquim Pintassilgo holds a PhD in Geography and History from the University of Salamanca (1996), a Master’s in Cultural and Political History from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1987) and a Degree in History from the University of Lisbon (1982). He is currently Associate Professor at the Institute of Education at the University of Lisbon. He belongs to the Editorial Boards of several international journals and has been a member of Organizing and Scientific Committees and a speaker at several congresses. He was also a Visiting Professor or Researcher at some international universities. He has coordinated and included the teams of several national and international research and cooperation projects, He is also the author of a vast number of articles in national and international journals and chapters in collective works in the field of History of Education.
