Darlinda Moreira has completed her Habilitation (Título de Agregado) in 2018 at Universidade Aberta, her PhD in 2002 at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon, her Master’s degree in Bilingual Education Studies in 1994 at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1985 at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Sciences. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Distance Learning at Universidade Aberta. 

She has published numerous articles in specialized journals and book chapters. Her research and teaching focus on the following scientific areas: Education and Interculturality (exploring the connections between culture and learning, emphasizing ethnoknowledge and the Knowledge Society, it leads to the implementation of innovative teaching methodologies deeply rooted in the sociocultural realities of students), Distance Education (focusing on cyberculture in multicultural educational environments and the innovative pedagogies and methodological approaches that she implements in the courses she teaches), Anthropology of Education (covering ethnography and the relationships between formal and informal education, especially in digital, multicultural, and global environments) and Adult Education and Lifelong Learning (highlighting the new modalities and possibilities in digital, global, and multicultural environments for adult education and lifelong learning).
