Cícero Muniz is PhD student in Sociology at the University of Brasilia (UnB), with a sandwich doctoral internship at the Center for Global Studies of the Open University of Portugal (CEG-Uab). He has a degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Bahia (2010) and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences – PPGCS/UFBA (2014). He is currently an EBBT professor of Sociology at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia of Sertão Pernambucano – IFSertãoPE. He is currently researching the relationship between micro-entrepreneurship and forms of job insecurity/precarioness in Brazil. Other topics of interest: entrepreneurship, precariousness, neoliberalism, extended industrial accidents, risks, outsourcing, social analysis of environment, business, professional education and sociology teaching.
