Cátia Vieira Pestana

Graduated in Cultural Sciences at the University of Madeira, with technical training in Archives, through Portuguese Association of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists and Master’s student in Literature, Culture and Diversity, at the University of Madeira.

Archivist at the Regional Directorate of Archives and Library of Madeira, transferred in the public interest to ADEGI – Association for the Development of Global and Island Studies for the development of projects of relevant cultural interest for the Autonomous Region of Madeira associated with the theme of global history and the participation of the Atlantic islands in it and which also involve the Center for Global Studies, such as the projects William Bolton’s Letters and Island Epics. She created, produces and is part of the radio program “Mulheres com Palavra”, on TSF-Madeira radio, since 2020, and collaborates in the opinion space “4 em linha”, in the newspapper Tribuna da Madeira, since 202
