Carlos Barradas, a born in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Madeira, has a degree in Cultural Sciences and a master’s degree in Linguistic and Cultural Studies. Sciences and a master’s degree in Linguistic and Cultural Studies from the University of Madeira. He currently works as the coordinator of the Open University of Portugal, Local Learning Centre of Madeira (CLA Madeira) in Câmara de Lobos. He is a researcher at the Centre for Global Studies at Universidade Aberta and a founding member of the Association for the for the Development of Global and Insular Studies – ADEGI. He takes part in the AprenderMadeira Project, in the preparation of the Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Madeira, where he was responsible for drafting various entries. She is currently studying for a doctorate in Global Studies at Universidade Aberta.
