Antonio Augusto Nery is Associate Professor of Portuguese Literature at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). He is a founding member of the Camões Chair José Saramago at that same institution, where he is also linked to the Center for Portuguese Studies (CEP-UFPR) and one of the leaders of the Research Group “Dialogues with Portuguese Literature” (UFPR, 2012). He is also one of the leaders of the Camilo Castelo Branco Research Group (UNESP, 2019), in addition to being a researcher, since 2014, at the Eça Group (USP). He has a PhD in Portuguese Literature from the University of São Paulo and Post-Doctorates in Portuguese Literature from the Universities of Coimbra, Minho and Campinas. CNPq Productivity Fellow, his research interests focus on the following themes: Eça de Queirós; José Saramago; Portuguese Literature from the 19th century to Contemporary times and Literature and Religion. In addition to having published several articles in scientific journals and book chapters related to his research interests, he is one of the organizers of the books Diálogos com a Literatura Portuguesa I and II.
