António Goés has a PhD in Economic and Organizational Sociology, from the Technical University of Lisbon, from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (2012). The professor has a master’s degree in Administration from the Federal University of Bahia (2003), a specialist in Micro and Small Business Management – Federal University of Lavras/MG (1999) and a degree in Administration from the State University of Santa Cruz (1991). He is currently an assistant professor at the State University of Santa Cruz. He is the leader of the research group at the State University of Santa Cruz with the themes: entrepreneurship, strategies and competitiveness. He has experience in the area of ​​Administration, with an emphasis on Business Administration. The title of the doctoral work is linked to Micro and Small Businesses, a strategic and entrepreneurial approach – THE ENTREPRENEURIAL PANORAMA IN THE CITY OF ITABUNA- BAHIA-REGIÃO CACAUEIRA: Risks, limits and challenges. Contributes with articles, research and studies on the topics of social entrepreneurship, tourism, sustainability, socio-business responsibility. Furthermore, he works with other researchers in the area of ​​finance and economic sociology. When he was specializing, he worked in micro and small companies. During his master’s degree, he directed his efforts towards research into human resources, skills and abilities. At this time, with an interdisciplinary vision, it emphasizes micro and small companies on issues: strategies, entrepreneurs’ trajectories, institutions that promote entrepreneurship and company succession. Member of SOCIUS – Research Center in Economic and Organizational Sociology – Lisbon, Portugal – reference in research as assessed by the FCT (Science and Technology Foundation of the Portuguese government). He was a delegate for two consecutive terms of the Regional Administration Council – Bahia – Itabuna unit. Participated in the Scientific Committee at the XI INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM ON SOCAL POWER: Development and Social Management of Territories. Salvador-Bahia (2009). Over the last 5 years, he has presented several papers, articles and communications at events in Europe and Brazil. He has three works published in national magazines (RAC-Eletrônica, RGSA and SOBER) and three chapters in international books (IRBSS, RICOT, SOCIAL DIMENSION OF INNOVATION). Furthermore, in the last four years he has presented works at national and international events.
