Antonino Gomes de Sousa, born in 1989 in Paços de Ferreira, is a member of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehonians) and was ordained as a priest in July 2016. He completed his Integrated Master’s degree in Theology at the Faculty of Theology, Catholic University of Portugal, Lisbon. In 2018, he completed a Postgraduate Course in Continuing and Palliative Care at the University Institute of Health Sciences – CESPU. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioethics at the Catholic University of Portugal, Porto, and serves as the Spiritual Assistant of ULSM and the Dehonian University Pastoral (Porto). He is also a member of the Ethics Committee at Luz Arrábida Hospital and the Santa Maria Nursing School, where he teaches courses related to Bioethics, Ethics and Deontology, and Spirituality in Palliative Care.
