Holding a Ph.D., Habilitation, and two postdoctoral degrees in Literature, she is a retired professor from the University of Lisbon with over three dozen honors both in Portugal and abroad. She is the President of the Luís de Camões-SHIP Lusophone Academy, the Fernando Pessoa-SHIP Institute, and the General Assembly of CompaRes-International Society for Iberian-Slavonic Studies. Additionally, she serves as Director of the Portuguese Writers’ Association and the Observatory of the Portuguese Language. She is an advisor to the Honor Council of Matriz Portuguesa, the Virtual Museum of Lusophony at the University of Minho, and the Supreme Council of the SHIP-Historical Society for the Independence of Portugal. A member of various national and international scientific and cultural institutions, she sits on numerous scientific councils for journals, collections, and projects. Since 2020, she has participated in academic surveys at the invitation of university rectorates.
