Aníbal Paulo Cabral was born on February 19, 1982, in Cubucaré, Guinea-Bissau. He is a Ph.D. student (2021/2022, ongoing) in Social Sustainability and Development at the Open University of Portugal, with his dissertation project focused on “Entrepreneurship Training in Tourism Promotion and Its Influence on the Socioeconomic Development of Guinea-Bissau.” In February 2023, he joined the Research and Extension Group in Economics and Management (GEPE) at Jean Piaget University, Guinea-Bissau. He holds a Master’s degree in Tourism – Administration and Management (2019) from the Catholic University of Portugal, Braga, where he was awarded the Merit Recognition Prize by the Braga City Council & the Commercial Association of Braga in September 2020 for his successful completion of the Master’s program. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese Language from Tchico-Té Superior Normal School (2009), Bissau, and an Associate’s degree in Social Education from Nossa Senhora de Fátima School Complex (2005). He has engaged in social volunteering related to community development and trainer training at the associative and scouting levels. He collaborates with the National Forum of Youth and Population in training (youth/adolescents) on development, entrepreneurship, youth employment, and strategic planning design.
