Ana Paula Teixeira Martinho holds a PhD on Environmental Engineering from the New University of Lisbon (2003), a MSc in Sanitary Engineering from the New University of Lisbon (1999) and a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the New University of Lisbon (1993). She is currently Professor in the Department of Science and Technology at Universidade Aberta and a researcher at the CAPP, Portugal. Her main research and teaching areas include integrated waste management, environmental impact assessment, environmental ethics and environmental citizenship and participation, and e-learning in science education. She is now the coordinator of 1st cycle in Environmental Sciences and the environmental engineering training course for the Order of Technical Engineering in Universidade Aberta. She is reviewer of several international scientific journals and books. She has mentored several post-graduate students, published papers in peer-review ISI journals, chapter books and international conference proceedings, and participated in some research projects.
