Adjunct Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul – PUCRS (Brazil), teaching and researching at undergraduate and specialization/MBA levels, focusing on digital media, business, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, Dr. Ana Cecília is the coordinator of IDEAR, the interdisciplinary lab of entrepreneurship and innovation at PUCRS. She is also visiting professor at Universidad EAFIT (Colombia). Ana Cecília holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Beira Interior (Portugal) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul – PUCRS (Brazil) in a joint degree, with a period as Visiting Researcher at the Media Innovation Studio of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Her thesis on innovation labs received an honorable mention in the 2021 CAPES Thesis Award. She has academic and/or professional experiences in Portugal, the United Kingdom, Colombia, the United States, Germany, and Norway. Her research interest spans innovation in creative industries (particularly in journalism) and entrepreneurial education. Dr. Ana Cecília is an integrated researcher at the Center for Global Studies at the Universidade Aberta (UAb) and a collaborating member of the iNOVA Media Lab at the NOVA University Lisbon.
